We're off to California!

It's Saturday and Lucy and I have just returned from a short hike up Dollar Mountain:

Lucy had just completed her morning run, so she's already had plenty of exercise today!

We're now busy packing and organising as tomorrow we're all off on a long journey down to Seaside, Monterey Bay, California, where we'll stay for 2 nights and celebrate July 4th on Monday. Then it's a slightly shorter (6 hours) drive from there down to the Marriott resort at Newport Coast that we've been to a few times now. Braeden is looking forward to returning to Universal Studios to do the Harry Potter Experience - they were in the process of building it when we were there last year. Cade has other plans - there's a famous shoe store in LA that he wants to visit.

There's an elderly neighbour across the road who struggles to maintain his garden, so Cade cuts his lawn and tidies up from time to time:

After playing 9 holes on Wednesday morning, I repeated it on Thursday morning - but that's it for USA golf this year - just 18 holes in all.

Yesterday - Lucy's day off - we went down to Medford to do some shopping and met up with Scott''s cousin, Dusty, for a coffee. We had lunch afterwards at Kaleidoscope and this time I persuaded everyone we should sit outside:
