Back to work again

From http://ianrstewart.blogspot.com/

Well, I had a great time in Tenerife last week - the weather was fantastic, getting up to 30 C. It's an ugly island, but we go to lovely places - nice golf courses and restaurants - and we stay in a nice hotel, so we don't really see many of the scars on the landscape. My golf wasn't too good, however - that's what comes of taking a month off playing before we went - I was rusty. My golf blog and Facebook have got plenty of photos from the week.

I got back on Friday night - just in time for Jo and I to go and enjoy Saturday afternoon at the Stonehaven beer festival. Thursday and Friday were the busy nights, but there were still 23 ales left when  we arrived, so it wasn't too bad. We came home and went down to the Fireworks display - the first time we'd been there for many years - since the kids were small, in fact. The bonfire was a bit bigger than we remembered it - enormous in fact. We didn't stay for the fireworks - we thought we'd beat the crowds and get something to eat. Tease had opened specially for the occasion, so went along there for a bowl of soup and some chocolate cake.

Sunday and Monday were beautiful clear, crisp autumnal Scottish days - nice to come home to. Played golf on Sunday morning.

But now it's back to reality - Aberdeen office yesterday and Fraserburgh today - but we did manage a game of squash doubles last night. We all still felt a bit lethargic after our week's golf, but it probably did us good to get some decent exercise in.

I stopped off at Inverurie on my way back from Fraserburgh today to have tea with Luca and Jo - fish fingers, of course.

Another busy weekend coming up - Headbang on Friday night, then off to Edinburgh on Saturday morning for "Wine Gang Edinburgh Wine Fair" - http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=271720232851962
