Happy Easter to everyone. We've had a nice time - mostly. On Friday, Jo and I travelled down to Ballater with the intention of distributing CAMRA posters to the pubs down there, but, as it was such a lovely day, we decided to take a walk down there. Details of this are on my Hill-walking blog (

Friday night was our first headbang this year (
http://banchoryheadbangers.blogspot.co.uk/) and on Saturday afternoon the new golf season officially started with the Captain v Vice Captain match. As feared, we got soaked and only managed 10 holes - we walked in and tried to dry out. I had to ask Jo to come and pick me up.
Sunday was much more pleasant - golf in the sunshine in the morning, then Gary, Carole and Luca came over for dinner. Jo prepared chicken and leek pie - and she also made a huge chocolate cake:
