I seem to be keeping Google's Blogspot website going single handed just now. We had a nice time at the Wine Fair in Edinburgh on Saturday - easy journey there and back on East Coast Rail - and you get better fed than Scotrail. £24 return is all it cost - first class and with food and drinks included - amazing.
We got our photo taken at the Fair with Anne's brother, Tom Cannavan, one of the Wine Gang, and presenter on STV:

This new drug was mentioned to me by my cardiologist the last time I saw him - I wonder if I should ask to try it?
We had a golf club committee meeting on Monday evening, before which we presented the Laird with Honorary Life Membership of the club. Only one more monthly meeting then I'm off the committee - whoopee!
The last couple of nights I've watched both parts of the George Harrison movie (made by Martin Scorcese) that was shown on BBC2 last weekend - pretty good, I thought - but Jo was very quickly bored by it all.
I've now got my hands on our tickets for Thistle's Scottish Cup tie on Saturday at little local Junior club, Culter FC. We could almost walk there along the Deeside Way - it's probably only about 10 miles - the nearest Thistle have ever been to us. On paper, it should be a walkover, but the cup's a funny thing and you never know what can happen. It'll be fun to be at a ground with no stands - just a small barrier to hold the crowd back.
This afternoon, I'm going to be leaving Fraserburgh soon and head down to see Dave and Doris Edwards. Dave's dementia is getting worse and poor Doris is just out of hospital after a knee operation - I think she's desperately lonely. Later on, we've got a guy coming to the house to look at the possibility of putting solar panels in - naturally I'm sceptical, but I'll listen anyway.
That's my diary up to date now.
