I only have a decent internet connection on my laptop for an hour or two more before my week long deal runs out, so I've been busy updating blogs and FB this morning. It's another glorious day and it's still not too hot - "bonkers hot" as Kelly calls it - although they are forecasting 40 degrees C on Sunday, by which time we'll be in Melbourne which is a little cooler anyway.
It was Australia Day on Wednesday and Kelly bought us tickets to go and see Barossa Under the Stars - Sting and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. We thought we'd make a day of it and headed off in the morning towards the Barossa Valley and came to the following small town:

Lovely spot it was too. Jo had burnt her legs the day before, hence the unusual attire for this photo:
We moved on from there to Whistler's Winery where they were holding an Australia Day party. We didn't stay for long, but just enough time for a glass of wine and quick look at their kangaroos - I was going to show you the video but problems uploading it.

The concert was good - more of that on my headbang blog, but it was a late night for Kelly as she had to drive us home and then drive all the way back to her place.
Thursday Jo and I walked down to Brighton and had a nice day there and on the beach, then Kelly joined us for dinner in the evening. Here are the girls in our aparthotel waiting for the lift:
Dinner at the Flying Knife was good - and that's about it for now. Got some packing to do then we meet Kelly for dinner at the Asian Markets tonight.
