Final day in Singapore

From http://ianrstewart.blogspot.com/

Jo and I are sitting here at the hotel bar (Diet Cokes if you don't mind!) waiting for our limo to take us to the airport for our mammoth flight home. I've got a wireless connection so I thought I'd pass the time by doing a quick blog.

We had a lot of time today - we were both up early and so, after breakfast, we toddled off to Clarke Quay again and took a water taxi up the river a bit. We got off at Raffles landing where Jo posed in front of his statue:

We walked the streets of the city on the Heritage trail and eventually came to some shops, one of which had some decoration celebrating the Year of the Rabbit (it's Chinese/Lunar New Year this weekend):

From there we spotted the greenery of Fort Canning park and went back there again and took this photo in front of a carved wall:

Some of the leaves made good sunshades:

Lunch was at yet another microbrewery we came upon and then we went back to the hotel, where I went for a dip and Jo read her book:

That's about it then - just one hour to go until our car arrives. Been a great holiday - hopefully see you all soon.
